Debbie Franchino passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on December 3, 2025 at the age of 71. Born and raised in Berea, Debbie graduated from Berea High School. She married the love of her life, Guy, at 21 and celebrated their 50th anniversary this past summer. A longtime resident of Strongsville, Debbie was the heart of every gathering. She hosted countless holidays, birthdays and celebrations, always making sure every detail was perfect. A devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her energy, humor and warmth into her family. Of all her achievements, she was always most proud of her children and grandchildren.
She was also a highly accomplished manager for UPS, where she was admired for her talent, leadership and work ethic until her retirement in 2015 after 27 years of service. Very few people met Debbie without remembering her — her presence filled every room, her laughter set every tone and her generosity made everyone feel included.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Guy; her children, Anthony (Susannah Wolfe) and Dara (Paul) Finan; and her beloved grandchildren, Sophie and Henry Finan. She is also survived by her siblings, Michelle Fasko, Kim (Michael Brinkman) Arnold and Thomas (Paula) Pawlowski; and by her nieces and nephews, Michael, Tiffany, Jenna, Brandon and Dominic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Eleanor (nee Brinkman) Pawlowski, and her brother, Daniel. She will be reunited in heaven with her beloved dogs, Barney and Isabella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136) at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at Woodvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
