

Dorothy Buzzard (nee Lauffer) and Robert Buzzard, both age 91, and residence of Berea, Ohio. Devoted parents of Robert “Bruce” (Sue), Richard (Mary), and Joanne Dees (Tom); cherished grandparents of 9 and great-grandparents of 5. Dorothy is the sister of the late Son Lauffer (Dot) (both deceased); Robert is a retired engineer from NASA and a U.S. Air Force Veteran and the brother of Ardith Varner (deceased) and stepbrother to Dale and Clare Ramaley (both deceased).
Bob and Dot were united in marriage on July 6, 1956. Their marriage was a testament to true love, spanning seven decades and touching everyone fortunate enough to know them. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter and faith in God.
Family was always at the center of Bob and Dot’s lives. Their love for one another overflowed into a deep dedication to their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. They cherished family time, and were there for all of life achievements, both big and small. No matter the life event, Bob and Dot were there to support their family.
Bob and Dot found joy in life’s simple pleasures. They loved playing cards together, especially Phase 10 and Skip-Bo, often turning an ordinary evening into one filled with friendly competition and laughter. Camping trips and cookouts were among their favorite pastimes, creating lasting memories surrounded by family and friends, good food, and the outdoors. Their legacy lives on through their family who were blessed to witness the example of true love that they shared.
Dorothy was born November 17, 1934 and passed away January 28, 2026.
Robert was born March 27, 1934 and passed away February 3, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in their memory to Hospice Services of Southwest General Hospital, 18659 Drake Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8, 2026, from 1-5 at the American Legion Post 91, 91 American Legion Parkway, Berea OH 44017. Final resting place is in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
