Edward P. Barrett

Edward P. Barrett, age 85. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Barbara (nee Gierke). Loving father of Lori Barta (Lenny), Karen Ackim (Tom), Dan Barrett (Lisa), Missy Jacobs (Jake) and Kimmie Sikora (Jimmy). Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Carter (Larry), Kristen Sebille (Brian), David Barta, Nicky Ackim (Taylor), Ryan Ackim (Lexi and Landon), Shawn Ackim (Marissa), Cory Jacobs (Kerianne), Zach Jacobs (Kennedy), Kacie Jacobs, Danielle Barrett, Kailey Barrett (Riley), Brianna Barrett, Kevin Barrett, Kylie Sikora, Ashton Sikora, Kourtney Sikora, and Karley Sikora. Great grandfather of Kaitlyn Fussi (Michael), Cash Carter, Alivia Sebille, Owen Sebille, Alyssa Sebille, Jeremiah Jacobs, Murphy Jacobs, and Rosie Ackim. Dear brother of the late Francis Barrett, James Barrett, Mary D'Andrea (Sam), and Kathy Milligan (John). 

Eddie, as he was known to everyone, was a creature of habit. You could find him several times a week dressed in his usual attire, a flannel t-shirt wearing one of his favorite baseball caps, enjoying a cup of coffee with his friends at Donut Land. He worked from a young age through retirement as a lineman at Cleveland Public Power. Eddie was devoted to his faith, and he attended mass every Sunday at St. Ambrose in Brunswick where he lived. He loved bowling and participated in several leagues with his wife, children and his friends. One of his favorite places to eat was Bob Evans he would always order their blueberry pancakes. One of his favorite pastimes was to frequently visit the local thrift shops where he would find his so called "treasures" at a bargain!

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Eddie's memory for his son-in-law whom has been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer to the Cleveland Clinic Pancreatic Cancer Program (myclevelandclinic.org/giving).
