Frank J. Mucha

FRANK J. MUCHA, age 81. Beloved husband of 59 years to Ruth Ann (nee Smorada). Loving father of Frank (Nancy), Mary Ann (deceased), Francine Belz (Don), Matthew, Ruth Ann Owens and Mark (Lori). Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Amanda, David, Brian, Elizabeth, Michael, Christian, Lindsey and Meredith. Dearest son of the late Frank and Stephanie (nee Wszelak). Dear brother of the late Carl and Linda. Also survived by many dear friends.

Frank was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of John Adams High school.  After graduation, he worked for Thom McAn Shoes working his way up from salesman to store manager at several stores in the greater Cleveland area.   He was known as the “fixer” as he had a proven track record of turning around underperforming stores to be store leaders within a short period of time.  Atter Thom McAn Shoes was divested and sold, Frank continued his career at Medic Drug and then Walgreen’s.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family.  He lived in Strongsville for 50 years in the house he designed and had built for his family.  In addition to attending his children’s sporting events and school activities, he also enjoyed nature, working outdoors, and landscaping his home which included planting many trees, and collecting rocks for his yard.  In his younger days he liked to golf and play baseball.

He will also be remembered as a devoted animal lover that included his dog, Christy. Frank will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Cleveland Animal Protective League 1729 Willey Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113.
