Frederick D. Biacsi, Sr., age 85. Beloved husband of Donna J. (nee DeSilvio). Proud and loving father of Mary J. Biacsi (Thomas F. Sivo), Debra Norris (Mark), Frederick D. Biacsi, Jr., and Kevin J. Biacsi. Cherished grandfather of Josiah C. Soos (deceased), Rebekah J. Patterson (Cody), Robert S. Scholl, Jr. (Emily) and Adria K. Smith (Travis). Adored great-grandfather of Aspen, Caspian, Bellamy, Ezra, Nash Patterson and Hensley Smith. Dearest son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Kovach) Biacsi.
Fred grew up in a large family with eight siblings — Bernice Hultberg (Jack, both deceased), Rosemarie Lehane (James, deceased), Joseph (Marie, both deceased), Marilou Miller Cuneo (first husband, William and second husband, Donald — all deceased), Catherine Hurst (deceased) (Patrick), Jerome (deceased) (Bonnie), John (Terry) and Therese Krevinko (Edward, deceased). Cherished brother-in-law of Gregg J. (deceased) and Julia DeSilvio. Fred is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, especially Bill Kramer.
Fred and Donna shared many wonderful years filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised their family in North Royalton, Ohio, where they created a warm and welcoming home. Fred and his brother Joe shared not only a life-long deep friendship but also a successful business partnership, they were co-owners of Tool Producers, Inc. Together they built and operated a thriving manufacturing firm for more than 35 years — a testament to their hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Fred had many talents. He was an avid golfer and a charter member of Sharon Golf Course, where he spent countless joyful hours hitting the links, with family, friends and business associates. He loved teaching the game to his son, Fred, and grandson, Rob, passing down not just his swing, but the simple pleasure of time spent together outdoors under open skies and creating memories that will last for generations. He was also a gifted craftsman. Whether building the family’s barn, remodeling their home, creating beautiful furniture by hand, or making golf clubs, his skill was evident in everything he touched. He found peace and pride while tending to his vegetable and rose gardens and planting countless trees nurturing them with the same care he showed his loved ones.
And he loved to tell stories — always with a twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes and a warm smile. Often, he would begin with, “I have a cute story for you,” or “Have I told you this one?” Even though we had heard it many times before, we would still sit and listen, laughing or smiling as though it were the first time. His stories connected us, reminding us of the joy and humor of life. Throughout his life, Fred was known for his generosity and his great sense of humor. In his younger years, he was always the first to lend a hand to family or friends. He loved being surrounded by those he loved most — his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Becoming a grandfather and later a great-grandfather was one of his life’s greatest joys. He will be remembered for his strength, his drive, his talents, his humor, his love of storytelling. His legacy lives on in the family he built, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless ways he touched the lives of others.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at The Holy Family Cancer Home, who cared for Fred with such tenderness, compassion, and grace. Their kindness and gentle presence brought peace to him — and to all of us — in those sacred final days. We will forever be thankful for the comfort and spiritual care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, if you feel so moved, the family suggests a donation be made in Fred’s memory to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, www.wish.org
