Dear Tina and Thula,
I  have viewed the photo album of Uncle George with a total sadness evoking  afterwards.  Even though I live in Greece, Uncle George was a second father for me.  He stigmatized my life in a positive way, since he arranged my marriage.
Whenever he visited us in Greece, it was a great adventure  and a fun experience at the same time. I am very saddened that he has passed away, even though he had the inner strength to have lived forever.

Dear Tina, Thula and Family,

Nearly 30 years ago a man named George Callas changed our lives. He sold us a home he built on a handshake.  There were many obstacles with that sale, because the house was sold twice. George made sure that we secured the home, because he promised it to us. We knew he was special and became life long friends.  People like George don't come around very often and we are proud to say we not only knew George, but loved him. We will miss him dearly, it was a privilege to have known him.

We wish your family love and peace and you will remain in our prayers.

I just learned of George's passing and was deeply saddened.  George built my house in 1997. It could not have been a better experience.  George always had a smile and a laugh every time we got together.  George didn't believe in writing a lot of things down in contracts when building.  At first I was nervous about that, but as I got to know him, I knew his word was solid as oak.  George was an original.    God Bless.

Dear Callas Family
We have very fond memories of George driving down our street on sir Robert ave in n.r. Smoking his cigar and oh that beautiful smile he had.
In 1982 George built our home when the economy was not the best and took a chance with our young family. My husband Bob and I still enjoy our home we love so much.We have had a wedding,bridal showers, graduations, and our son Brandon's bridal shower and Daughter Jennifer's engagement there.

Sorry for your loss.  It was my pleasure doing business with George at
Third Federal.  My husband and I enjoyed the times we spent at Marcal's.
After dinner George would always join us for a drink.  He will be missed.
It is true he did do business with a hand shake.  To my dear George may you rest in peace.

Goerge built the home that my family lives in today in Westlake. When George built our home, our agreement was not much more than a handshake. There are not many people I would do that with today, but I would do it with George all over again. George have moved on, but his legacy lives on around us. He was a wonderful man.

Dear Nona, Thula and everyone in Cleveland. 

I am truly sorry we are not able to be with all of you for the funeral. My deepest condolences to everyone. 

I want to take a moment and share the impact Nono had on my life and for you Nona and Thula how much I am grateful for all you have done for me. 

Nona, having you and Nono as my Godparents is and was a great part of my life. Truly it shaped my childhood and it did so in profound ways. I have always seen such love and  commitment to our church, to family and to friends from all of you. Commitment that has and will continue to impact me for my life. 

As a kid I remember so many good time we all had. Our families were together a great deal when I was young. As I got older, I had called Nono for advice and guidance and always felt that I was really lucky to be able to pickup the phone and call him. The advice was sound and significant for me. For which I am really grateful. 

You are all in my prayers.

Thea Tina, Thula, and Family. We are very deeply saddened to hear about uncle George's passing. He was a kind and compassionate person. He had many fine qualities and his personality reminded me of my father, his brother Nick. Those qualities also reminded Crystal of her papou Nick. We know he is in Heaven now with God and Christ. Thula: You asked me to jot down a memory of your dad and what immediately came to mind (besides how hard he worked to provide for his family) was when we were young and I'd listen to you try to state your point of view to your dad and he'd say "Thooooooo-la!" in a stern tone with a little lilt on the "la" and a twinkle in his eye that lovingly said to me every time that you were Daddy's little girl and that he adored you. You two had a special connection. So dear. My love to your mom, your family and to you always and forever, my friend.

I live in Oregon now but grew up on Lanyard Dr with John Kornelakes and family as my neighbors. When I saw this obit today I prayed for George and his entire family. May God rest his soul
