He is survived by his son, Cole Stradtman (Emily Nehrenz), Brooke Stradtman; his mother, Carol Stradtman; brother to Mike Stradtman and Laurell Carbonetti (Dan), and his former wife, Kim Bojansky Stradtman and Granddogs, Finn and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his father, John Stradtman Sr.
John was a skilled race car driver who competed in the ARCA series, racing at legendary tracks like Daytona and Pocono. He had a real love for speed and precision, and it showed in how he lived his life, with drive, talent, and a genuine love for what he did. He carried a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. He spent much of his life building homes throughout northern Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and pride. Later, he took to the highways as a semi-truck driver, traveling to nearly all 50 states in the country and making friends wherever he went. When he wasn’t on the track or the road, John could be found on Lake Erie, boating with friends, or snowmobiling through the snowy trails of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. His happiest moments were often spent outdoors, surrounded by friends, family, and adventure.
A Celebration of Life for John will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 Bagley Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130.
