Joseph J. Sudano, Jr. PhD

JOSEPH J. SUDANO, JR., PhD, age 74. Loving father of Alpha Sudano, Venus Rehs (Shawn); Stepfather of Adam Tscherne (Courtney) and Alexis Twichell (Nick). Cherished grandfather of Sofia and Joseph Rehs; Step-grandfather of many. Dear brother of the late Larry Sudano. Joe requested that everyone attending please wear Hawaiian shirts or attire. Joe was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He attended the Holy Ghost Father's Mission Seminary in Ann Arbor, MI at the age of 13. He stayed there for three years and then attended John F Kennedy High School in Warren, OH and graduated in 1967. He received his Bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University, and his Master's and PhD from Kent State University. He worked in the research department at MetroHealth for 23 years and retired in 2021. He was diagnosed with glioblastoma in November of 2020 and defied the odds, living the good life much longer than anyone would have expected. He loved traveling and has been all around the world. He will be remembered for his humor,  sarcasm and amazing personality.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Visiting Nurses Hospice, 925 Keystone Pkwy., Brooklyn, Ohio 44131 or The Audobon Society, https://www.audubon.org/[email protected]. Funeral Services Monday October 30, 2023 at the funeral home 6:00 PM. Interment Private. The family will receive friends MONDAY EVENING 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
