Kathryn J. Voehl

Kathryn J. Voehl (O’Grady) age 85, passed away peacefully in Olmsted Falls, Ohio on December 4, 2025. Born December 15, 1939, daughter of the late Harry and Rosemary O’Grady (nee Heap), sister of Rosemary Corley (deceased) (Andrew) and brothers Thomas M. O’Grady (deceased) and John P. O’Grady (Phyllis) of Denver, Colorado. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Kathy grew up in Cleveland, Ohio attending Holy Name grade school and graduating from Holy Name high school in 1957. She attended Ohio University receiving her teaching certificate in 1960. Kathy taught elementary school grades 2 through 3 for two years. She left teaching and worked for a property management company in downtown Cleveland and later for a Cleveland-based advertising company. In 1966, Kathy relocated to New York City in pursuit of her advertising career goals. While in New York, she met and married Richard Voehl; they had been married for 16 years. Kathy continued to work and live in New York City until her return to the greater Cleveland area in 2024.

Throughout her life, Kathy enjoyed fashion, theater, travel, fine dining, and her precious pets. She especially enjoyed living in New York City with its unique culture and special vibe.

Kathy will be missed dearly by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
