MARK A. BLASCO

Mark Blasco, age 70, passed away on July 26, 2023.  Beloved husband of Debra (Bartkiewicz).  Loving father of Steven Blasco (Debra), Jeffrey Blasco (fiancé Michelle), David Blasco (Laura), and Allison Comben (Rob). Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  Dearest son of the late Stephen and Nancy Blasco.  Dear brother of Greg (Capri), Carleen Olejarczyk (Jim) and Shelley Armstrong (Kevin).  Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.  He was a friend to many.

Married for 51 years to his high school sweetheart, Mark was a very loving, loyal husband who always gave his wife a double kiss when he got home from work.

He was a hardworking individual with a long career as a successful engineer, helping design much of Cleveland.  He loved what he did and took great pride in his work. 

Mark was a dedicated father, devoting most of his free time to his family which was very important to him.  This brought him great joy and pride. He was always by everyone's side to teach, share wisdom or lend a helping hand.  He had a passion for being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He'd be sure to include his kids on his weekend adventures.  When Mark couldn't be outdoors, he was playing cards, watching Sci-fi or the history channel or spending quality time with his family. He had a love for old cars as well as helping others work on them. 

He always enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren and really cherished those moments. He was the family camera man, capturing all the great times for everyone. He had many important roles in his life and will be deeply missed by everyone!  Mark leaves behind a legacy of family, dedication, wisdom and strength.  His warmth and love will remain in the hearts of everyone who's lives he has touched. Mark's spirit will live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones and he will never be forgotten.

Although expression of support are appreciated, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be of great help. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 8 PM in the funeral home. The family will receive friends Thursday 4 - 8 PM at THE A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO 44130 (WEST of I-71)
