Migdelio Camargo, Sr. (Yeyo)

MIGDELIO CAMARGO, SR. (Yeyo)  age 69. Beloved husband of Hilda; a loving father of Migdelio Jr. (Lisa), Angelo (Charlene), Tina, David, Alexis (Isabel), and Elena; a cherished grandfather of Nathaniel, Angelo Jr., Kayla, Nicholas, Anthony, Alexis Jr., Isaiah, and Reyna. Treasured brother of Rosa, Tito, Carmen, Nelson, Julio, Haydee, Manuel, Susie, Felipe, Marta, and the late Wilfredo and Noel. 

Migdelio Camargo, Sr was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico in 1952. He came to Cleveland, Ohio with his parents and 12 siblings when he was 16 years old.  After graduating from Lincoln West High School in 1971, he met Hilda Marcano.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1972 and went on to marry Hilda in 1973. They lived throughout the US and Germany before settling back in Cleveland. They eventually had 6 children. He began his career at NASA Glenn Research Center as a welding and pipe fitting apprentice, and became an engineering technician. After 30 successful and impactful years, he retired in 2010.  Migdelio loved carpentry and remodeling and was exceptionally talented at both.  He took great pleasure in helping his children, family members and friends. He was an extremely humble and generous man. He would make sure he found time to help anyone, expecting nothing in return.  

He was an avid Cleveland sports enthusiast, especially of the Cleveland Indians. He also loved to watch old Westerns and home improvement shows or just sit on his patio or in the house and listen to classic salsa music. Migdelio was a great husband, father, and man of God.  He is gone but his impact on all of us will live on. His legacy will carry on forever and he will watch over us all.

A Latin Requiem Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDLEBURG HTS. (WEST OF I-71).
