Robert S. Denk

ROBERT S. DENK, age 78, passed away peacefully with the Consolation of the Sacraments on April 1, 2026, in his home surrounded by his wife and his six children. He was born on March 25, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert and Esther Denk (nee Wachowicz). He is the beloved husband of Delores (nee Markusic); loving father of Julie Burdorff (John), Robert Denk (Cyndi Flynn), Father Michael Denk, James Denk, Christie Cereshko (Darren), and Sheri Drnak (Jeremy); joyful grandfather of Kelsey, Grace, Emma, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Skylar, Bella, Jaina, and Dominic. Also survived by his brother, Gregory Denk (Beth).

As a graduate of Cleveland State University, Bob spent his career as a civil engineer for First Energy (CEI). He was a devoted husband who loved and cherished Dee beyond words throughout their 52-year marriage. He took the most pride in building a home for his wife and children, expanding it room by room. He was well-known for being a friend and neighbor who would lend a hand with any project. We will miss the conversations, stories, and his ability to solve nearly any problem. Bob was a man of many hobbies, including carpentry, automotive repairs, poker, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, and making sure all of his children (and many others) could drive a stick-shift. He enjoyed spending time with his family and kept faith at the center of his life. He made sure that his family could be found in the front row of Holy Family Church every Sunday morning.

He deeply cherished his lifelong friends and neighbors. His positive influence goes beyond what any of us could ever know. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will be held at HOLY FAMILY CHURCH, 7367 YORK ROAD, PARMA, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:30 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Robert at THE A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HTS, Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4 - 8 PM.

While the family is grateful for all expressions of sympathy, they respectfully request no flowers. Donations may be made to Holy Family Church, Parma, Ohio, in Robert Denk’s memory
