I am sorry for your loss.  I only had the pleasure of meeting Bob a few quick times but it was a pleasure.  He always seemed happy and smiling every time.  I hope all your memories of Bob live forever inside your hearts.  Praying for you all.

The Little Ship- I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight, a voice at my side whispered, "He is gone." But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, "He is gone" a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, "Here he comes!"

Very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have many fond memories with Bob as a kid and a young man.  He was a great guy and I know he will be missed by all that knew him.

Hey buddy, memories flood my mind of all the times we shared, still wishing for one more conversation with my best friend, it'll be a long time for the vacant space in my heart to heal, as it will be for many. My world has less color without you my friend. Until we meet again, your bud, tom.

My cousin Bobby…. Some of my most memorable childhood memories were with the entire Otto family. Most of those somehow included my cousin Bobby. My first ride on the handlebars of a banana bike was because of my cousin Bobby. The first time riding “shotgun” in what I believed to be a Ford Falcon was because of Bobby. The first dirty joke I heard in my life was again Bobby. (I probably didn't even get it.) The first person to point out that Jethro Tull was a band and not a person in a band was Bobby.  The first person to point out girls were nice to look at was of course Bobby. There were many “Firsts” with Bobby, some which can't be shared in an online guest book. He was always like the cool older brother I never had, and one that I always wanted to be like. Heck, we even had the same name. He will be missed by many, but most likely be remembered by many more.  – Bobby and the entire Otto family is in my prayers.

I am a better person today because Bob was part of my life. I am really gonna miss you buddy.

I am very sadden by the passing of Bob, I have so many memories of him and Jimmy and I hanging out, Bob could walk into a room of strangers and within minutes having them eating out of his hand he just had that about him he simply was alot of fun to have around, family gatherings will never be the same without him. To my family my heart is with all of you during this sad time in your lives let your faith in  God help you through this, lean on each other for support. Bob I love you and will forever miss you!

The shock of this loss feels like an earthquake in our hearts.   Know that MANY of our friends are joining in prayer for the entire Otto family.   It is only in knowing that God will heal the broken-hearted that you will be able to breathe and slowly move forward.  He is not gone from your heart...he lives in your memory and is fully alive in Christ; healed and at peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing! I had the pleasure of growing up with him and many fun times were had by all!  We only recently reconnected over the last couple of years and shared so many memories and lots of laughs and tears together.  Prayers to the entire family from myself and my extended family as well to heal your broken hearts.  They say time heals all wounds but these kinds of wounds take forever. My Uncle Bob wasn't just my uncle, he was my Godfather and my second father. I can't believe he is gone. He would give his own shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He was a great dad, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather and loved by so many. He always made anyone laugh no matter where he was. My uncle was a great man who did more for me than he'll ever know. I love you Uncle Bob,  you will be missed.

To the entire Otto family -
It is so very hard to read this and to come to acceptance that Bob has moved to his permanent home.  When we met as neighbors 27 years ago we instantly knew we would love this guy.  He became our dear friend, a partner in mischief, a confident and a brother.  We are just so broken hearted for all of you and love you so much, but we take solace in knowing Bob is with our Lord and Savior. We had the privilege of sharing our faith many times.  We also have such great memories and times of joy to reflect on - Bob was one of the funniest people ever!!!  And he really had a heart of gold.  I am deeply saddened to have heard of Bob's passing. Bob and I spent many years as close friends, along with his family. We had many wonderful and fun times together which I can look back upon and truly appreciate the friend that he was. Bob had a way about him that could brighten any ones day, just by walking thru the door and was always a fun guy to be around. He will be greatly missed. Many of my fondest childhood memories include at least one of the Otto clan,   of course most of the memories were followed by a grounding but I wouldn't trade any of them!  I still cherish the days we walked through the garden gates of Ben Franklin and hung out at the sand dunes!  There is a saying that some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same because of them!  Bobby you are one of these people in my life and I will miss you! Bye my friend, until we meet again! I love you!!

I went to school with Bob, we were in the same grade. My parents were very good friends of Jim and Kathy. We went over their house as kids and swam and had picnics. I have very fond memories of "Bobby" as I called him. He was funny and easy going and such a great person. I am sad for his family to lose such an awesome person. Bob came into the bar I worked at a while ago. Wonderful man. Always made sure to ask how my daughter was doing. Made my job more fun as I knew when he walked in, it was going to be a good time. The world has lost a great man and although I have not seen or talked to Bob in a few years, he has left a footprint in my life. Your entire family is in my prayers.
