Ruth Ann Mucha

Ruth Ann Mucha, age 83, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Mucha, with whom she shared 59 devoted years of marriage. She was a loving mother of Frank (Nancy), Mary Ann (deceased), Francine Belz (Don), Matthew, Ruth Ann Owens, and Mark (Lori). She was a cherished grandmother of Andrew (Angela), Amanda Minster (AJ), David, Brian (Lindsay), Elizabeth, Michael, Christian, Lindsey, and Meredith, and a treasured great grandmother to Brady, Owen, and Gianna. Ruth was the devoted daughter of the late George and Frances Smorada and is survived by many dear friends.

Ruth was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and was a graduate of Jane Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Following graduation, she worked as a beautician in downtown Cleveland before dedicating herself to raising her family as a stay at home mother and primary caregiver. In later years, she returned to the workforce, continuing her career at Medic Drug.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She lived in Strongsville for 53 years, in the home she and her husband designed and built for their family. She took great pride in attending her children’s sporting events, music performances, and school activities, always offering her unwavering support. Ruth especially enjoyed nature, found joy in planting flowers, and watching and feeding birds. In her younger years, she enjoyed writing poetry, performing in the Sokol’s youth group, and spending time with her many cousins.

Ruth will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
