Ruth was an avid sports fan and her children adopted her love of sports. She enjoyed watching her children play in several different sports and was a huge Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. The Indians were always her favorite. Ruth was an accomplished seamstress. She made many of her children’s clothes, especially for Julie and April. She made everything from bathing suits to prom dresses. She also enjoyed working on home redecorating, including painting and wallpapering.
In Ruth’s single years she traveled many places, with her friends, across the United States. She visited Yellowstone, Florida, and both coasts.
Ruth enjoyed playing bridge and regularly hosted card parties. She also loved doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
