James Lee Smith

James Lee Smith, age 48, of Gasport, entered into rest on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born August 7, 1966 in Medina, NY, James is the son of the late Robert Smith and Carol E. Bayne.

After graduating from high school, James entered the United States Air Force. He presently was in partnership with his twin brother, Joseph at J.J. Farms in Gasport. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed working with his brother on the dairy farm. He had lived in Gasport his entire life.

Surviving James is his son: Austin Smith of Newfane; and siblings: Jeffrey Smith of Gasport, Elizabeth (Christopher) Wagner of Middleport, twin brother, Joseph Smith of Gasport, John Smith of Gasport, Brian (Dianna) Smith of Gasport and Paul Smith of Gasport. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 7-9 pm and Monday, July 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from the Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
