

Betty was raised by her loving grandparents and her aunts.
She attended Bob Jones University to pursue a degree in teaching, a career that she loved. Her initial teaching experience was with the Vivene Art and Speech Studio in West Virginia. That career path brought her to Middletown, Ohio and a position with Middletown High School. Once she retired in 1970, she began teaching furniture reupholstery as an adult night school class.
Betty was multi-talented. She baked and decorated wedding cakes, made sugar eggs for Easter, ran Carriage House Antiques and was a member of the Middletown Antique Society. When her children were young, she was a Den Mother and Cub Scout volunteer.
Her children were her pride and joy. They were the greatest accomplishment that she never failed to talk about.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Barnhart Sr.
Betty is survived by her children, Diane (Roosevelt) Douglas, Lorie (Barry) Blankenship, Joyce (Gene) Perry, and Bill (Kathy) Barnhart. She is preceded in death by her sons, Fred Turner, Lyle (Joanne) Barnhart, Ed Barnhart, Bobbie Barnhart, and Georgia Griffen;
She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren...so many to bring her joy throughout her years.
A Funeral/Memorial Service will be at 12:00 pm at Butler County Memorial Park where she will take her eternal rest.
