Donald Lee McLaughlin

Donald Lee McLaughlin, age 89, of Franklin, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2025. He was born on June 23, 1936, in Birch River, West Virginia, the son of Marco and Gertrude (Brown) McLaughlin.

Donald dedicated his life to his faith, family, and country. He was the husband of Margaret Jean McLaughlin, and together they shared an enduring marriage of 63 years filled with love and devotion.

He was a guiding light to his five children, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts: Timothy (Stephanie) McLaughlin, Myra (David) Jackson, Becky (Kirk) Metcalf, Joel McLaughlin, and Sarah (Chad) Richardson. His joy was multiplied through his ever growing family - 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A proud United States Navy Veteran, Donald served his country with honor and discipline that carried throughout his life. Following his military service, he worked diligently for Chrysler Corporation, where he retired after 30 years of employment.

In his personal life, Donald found happiness in the simple things - gardening, yardwork, music, and spending time with those he loved. His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life. He was an active member of his local church where he served in the bus ministry, helping bring children to hear the message of Christ.

Donald will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Matthew Hinkle officiating. Burial will take place at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin.
