Her love of investing, travel and fashion were the hallmarks of a life well lived. Her dedication to swimming at the YMCA was legendary. Betty was an active board member of the Sebald Realty Company through the late 1990s. She was a dedicated golfer and a founding member of Browns Run Country Club, scoring a hole-in-one twice on number 5. Mostly, she was a staunch defender of her Middletown roots. Although she loved to travel, Middletown was the base she returned to and loved dearly. She died at home in the house she and her husband, Walter (Gish) Pague built in 1963. She was surrounded by family and her beloved cat, Tomtom, was faithfully by her side.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walter C. Pague: sister, Joan Sebald Murray, and brothers-in-law David Murray of Middletown and David White of Springboro. She is survived by her sister, Mary White of Hamilton, Montana. She is also survived by her nieces Mem Murray Morrissey (David) of Farmington, Connecticut and Paula Murray Verity (Will) of Edwards, Colorado, and nieces and nephews Jeni Son Evans, EJ Son and Jon Son of Hamilton, Montana.
The family would like to thank her many wonderful caregivers who made it possible for her to stay at home. We would like to especially acknowledge Sandy and Steve Efker and Hospice Care of Middletown.
A celebration of life will be held October 26, 2024 from 3pm until 5pm at the home she loved best.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Animal Friends Humane Society of Hamilton, Ohio.
