Patsy Ruth Miller

Patsy Ruth Miller, age 98, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1927 in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of William Mahin Bunch and Clara Belle (Arnold) Bunch.

Patsy was a 1951 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Medical Technology. She married her husband, Walt, of 59 years, in 1953 and lived in the Middletown area for the rest of her life. They were founding members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Middletown. Patsy lived a life centered around faith, family, and simple joys. She found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by her loved ones, whether during lively family gatherings or quiet afternoons spent together. Her presence was a source of comfort and warmth to everyone she met. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always making each person feel seen, loved, and valued.A woman of deep faith, Patsy was a longtime member of her church, finding strength and community through worship and service.

Besides her faith and family, she loved music, reading, history and traveling. She and Walt enjoyed many travels and adventures to Japan, Russia, and Europe, usually with her daughter Ruth, and son-in-law, Scudder.Patsy's legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Walt, two sisters and two brothers.

Patsy is survived by her daughters, Mary Forbes, Ruth (Scudder) Briggs, Kate (Charlie) Lindsey; sons, Walt (Detta) Miller, John (Nancy) Miller; grandchildren, Virginia (Andy), Justin (Lauren), Jared (Lindsay), Brandon (Anna), William (Jessie), Robert, Jacob (Amber), Molly (Ben), Danielle; great grandchildren, Mason, Marli, Natalie, Elizabeth, Alastair, Aleah, Mylee; Nahla, Elliott, Rosalie, Simon, Liam, Matthias; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4715 Holly Avenue, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Daniel Herb officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
