Steve was deployed multiple times, serving on the USS Forrest Sherman (DD 931), USS Spiegel Grove (LSD 32), USS Vulcan (AR 5), SIMA Norfolk, and two tours on the USS America (CV 66) in the engineering departments. After he was honorably discharged from the USN, he continued working in the maintenance field at Fort Hamilton Hospital, ClarkWestern Building Systems, and MidPointe Library System. His family and friends appreciated his unique and well-timed sense of humor. He loved tinkering with mechanical things and reading.
Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Faye (nee Clark) Reynolds “Trish”; children, Anthony (Chelsea) Reynolds and Zachary Reynolds; grandchildren, Jane Reynolds, Malcolm Reynolds, Violet Reynolds, and Sylvia Reynolds; brother, Kevin Reynolds; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service is planned this spring. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your church of choice, the Fisher House Foundation, which serves military service members, veterans, and their families (fisherhouse.org), or Otterbein Lebanon Benevolent Care (otterbein.org/donate).
