

Timothy Joel Estes Sr., age 60, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Tim was born August 16, 1961 in Hebron, Arkansas, was raised in Gainesville, Ozark County, Missouri. Tim was the son of the late T.J. and Rebecca (McGinnis) Estes, and the seventh of twelve children.
Tim attended school in Gainesville, Missouri, and following in his father's footsteps, started his career in the building trades at the age of 16. He joined Local 290 in Dayton, Ohio and in the early part of his career, Tim worked at his mother's company, Sioux Steel, out of Kansas City, Missouri. In the middle of his career, Tim moved to Southern Ohio working throughout the Midwest but primarily in Southern Ohio and region. Tim was an ironworker superintendent on multiple jobs and was known for his ability to manage projects (run a crew) and his hard work ethic.
While not completing high school, Tim got a full life's education throughout his career and was able to teach many apprentices his passion and knowledge for construction while earning his PhD from the school of hard knocks. In his spare time, he could be found working with his son on home projects or vehicles. Tim was an avid dog lover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers T.J. Jr and Teddy Joe, and his sister Peggy Lee (Sullivan), as well as several nephews and a niece; Donny Dodgen, Dakota James Estes, Heath Dennis, Tristan Dennis, Jeremy Dennis, Andrea Miller (Williams), Marcus Miller, and his brother-in-law Jerry Szelc.
Tim is survived by his son, Timothy Estes Jr., and eight siblings, Brenda Dimbat, Sandi Baker (Dwayne), Tony, Terry (Mary), Tom (Lisa), Dodi Timbrook, Susie Rodgerson (Gary), and Steven (Kelly), six aunts and uncles, over thirty nieces and nephews and over a hundred first cousins along with many extended family and friends.
Visitation will 12-2 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Paul Taylor as officiant.
