Betty Jo Godfrey, 83, Midland, Texas passed away on January 4, 2015. Betty was born in Brownwood, Texas on October 30, 1931. She graduated from Kermit High School. Betty worked as a hotel manager for fifteen years. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, and embroidery. Betty was also actively involved in The Pink Ladies.
Betty is preceded in her death by her parents, Jim and Effie Jones; brothers, Jack Jones, and Mac Jones; sisters, Treleta Martin, and Shirley Mangum.
Betty is survived by her brother, Carter Jones; daughters, Judy Light, and Gail Jones and husband Joel; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Meals on Wheels of Midland or your favorite charity.
