He was born in Temple, Texas, to Charles and Anna Jezek. For 27 years he worked for the Midland Fire Department retiring at the rank of Captain in 1991. After that, he worked for Basic Energy, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, both of Midland, and Paint Doctor in Lubbock, Texas. Charlie was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved camping at Camp Jezek in the Davis Mountains. He faithfully attended weekend “Choir Practice”, loved to BBQ with family and loved his “girls,” Peanut and Lupe.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; sister Irene Sefcik; brothers Clarence Jezek and David Jezek and nephew Keith Jezek.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Hetrick Jezek of Midland; sons Wesley Dale Jezek and wife, Liz, of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Kurt Edward Jezek and wife, Lorrie, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Dorothy Wood of Eden, Texas; grandchildren Kyle, Chase and wife Autumn, Madeline, Madison, Molly and Sophie; great grandchildren Sydney and Eden, and nephews David Jezek and wife Nancy and Kevin Jezek and wife Lisa both of Midland.
There will be a visitation at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm. A service will be held in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2 pm.
