Mr. Charles "Pete" Starritt

Charles A. “Pete” Starritt, of Midland, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010. Pete was born February 24, 1947 to L.B. and G. Dean Starritt in Big Spring, Texas. He was raised and educated in Midland. He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam from August 1966 to 1968. He was retired from Southwestern Bell and AT&T as a Special Systems Management - Installation. He is preceded in death by his father, L.B. Starritt. He is survived by his mother, G. Dean Starritt of Midland; his companion, Debbie Kaye of Midland; his daughters, Cari Starritt-Burnett and husband Olan of Temple, TX; Christi Rene Starritt-Walker of Temple, TX; Candi Shanks and husband Louis of Lewisville, TX; Cindi Starritt Mughelli and husband Frank of Midland; brother, Billy Starritt and wife Anita of Azle, TX; sister, Debra Crouchman and husband Ken of Van Alstyne, TX; brother, Randall “Scooter” Starritt of Midland; He is also survived by his grandchildren, Campbell Helene Burnett, Brayden Bode Walker, Brock, Julia and Ryker Charles Shanks, and Audrey Mughelli. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Friday, September 17, 2010 between the hours of 5:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
