He was born in April 22, 1944, attended school in Liberty, Texas and served in the Army. He was married to Deanna Dee Hooten from 1962 until her passing in 2009. He worked for many years as a master electrician in Texas, Florida, New Mexico and other states.
"Hoot" married Willie Hooten of Kingsland in 2011 and is survived by her, as well as his daughter, Cindy Chavez of Pflugerville, Texas and many grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dewey; sister, Eunice; nephew, Alan; first wife, Deanna and son, Chad.
He will be remembered for his big personality and big laugh. Never found without a cup of coffee or a camel cigarette, his stubborn cowboy ways and his sweet sentimental side endeared him to us. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will take place at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas on Saturday, February 10th at 1 p.m.
