

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, she and her husband settled in Midland in 1939 where she spent the rest of her life. Elinore Chase was a devoted wife and mother, a fervent Catholic, supporting St. Ann’s Parish and St. Michael’s Chapel. She was a patron of the arts and actively interested in the politics of our nation. Mrs. Chase was a staunch patriot and tirelessly defended the Constitution of the United States of America. She enjoyed bridge club of forty years, golf, swimming, and active membership in Delta Gamma Sorority.
Mrs. Chase cherished the memories of her active life and her many friends through the years in Midland. She lived a long and happy life and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jewel Ungerman Neidhardt, her husband of forty-five years Carlos Louis Chase and her daughter Marjorie Frances Chase.
Survivors include her sister, Maryellen Ungerman Fort of Marco Island, Florida; her children Maryann Chase of Athens, Ohio, Samuel Louis Chase and wife Ingrid of Sausalito, California, Steven Paul Chase of Midland, Texas and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m., with the rosary following at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on
Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at St. Michaels Chapel, 3100 Golf Course Road, at 9:00 a.m., with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
