

Elizabeth Jo Anthony Faller passed away March 26, 2012, at the age of 81. She was born in Brownfield, Texas on April 2, 1930, to Earl Elwood, Sr. and Mary Bessie Adaline Anthony. She graduated from Brownfield High School and attended Bellhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. She moved to Midland in about 1951 were she worked for Forest Oil. She met Warren Leslie Faller on a blind date on Thanksgiving day 1953. They married on June 20, 1954 at the First Methodist Church in Midland. Elizabeth was involved in civic and historical organizations throughout her life. She belonged to the Lt. William Brewer Chapter DAR for over fifty years, the Aaron Estes Chapter DRT for over 45 years, West Texas Company Jamestowne Society (founding governor), Alexander Daugherty Chapter War of 1812 (founding president), Seven Brothers Theus Chapter daughters of the confederacy, Midland historical Society, Friends of the Library board, COM Moms, Symphony Guild, Ancient Planters, Charter Member of the Midland Colony Magna Charter Dames, Staked Plains chapter Daughters of the American Colonies, Dr. John Woodson Chapter Daughter of the 17th Century, member of the Wednesday Club, Member of the Tejas Garden Club and the Baptist sewing circle, member of the Midland Genealogical Society, she even volunteered at Summer Mummers for several summers. She joined the Methodist church at the age of 12 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church Midland for almost 60 years where she was a member of the Boone Bible class and taught the Kindergarten Sunday school class for many years. She enjoyed researching her and her husband's family tree as well as doing genealogical research work for friends. Elizabeth was active in her children’s lives from carpooling to being room mother for each of us. These last twelve years she was totally devoted to her twin grandsons, Raymond Douglas Mee and John Warren Mee. John and Raymond loved their Mummum dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Leslie Faller; her brother, Earl Elwood Anthony, Jr.; and her sister, Mary Kathryn Terry.
She is survived by daughter, Leaf Faller; son, Tony Faller; daughter, Chrissie Mee and husband, Doug; and grandsons, Raymond and John Mee, all of Midland.
Family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service is planned for Friday, March 30, 2012 at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church in the Glass Chapel with Dr. Tim Walker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sheldon Skinner, Billy Marshall, Russell Mathis, Tim Johnson, Chris Johnson, and Brad King. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Moritz, Jim Bell, and Jared Harland. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Midland, Texas. Condolences may be made at: www.ellisfunerals.com.
