Federico C. Ilang - Ilang Sr.

Fred was born on August 11, 1926 to his parents Leon Ilang-Ilang, and Ana Cervantes. He married his beloved wife Zenaida P. Ilang-Ilang, as to which they were married for forty-nine years. He was a World War II veteran and he then worked for the Philippine Constabulary for thirty years. After moving to the United States he continued to work as an electrical assembler in Los Angeles, California for seventeen years.

Fred enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching current events, playing chess, mah jong, and watching sports. After he retired he traveled to different parts of the country to visit his family in the United States as well as in the Philippines.

Fred is preceded in death by his loving wife Zenaida P. Ilang-Ilang.

Fred is survived by his children, Federico P. Ilang-Ilang, Jr., Virgil P. Ilang-Ilang and wife Marideth, Ernest P. Ilang-Ilang, Rafael P. Ilang-Ilang, Adalia Newell and husband Mark; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and various friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, with Monsignor Larry Droll officiating.
