Geneva M. Merrifield

Geneva Margaret Catlett Merrifield, of Midland, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. She was born December 23, 1921 to Robert J. Catlett and Martha Ellen Ryan Catlett. On September 7, 1942 Geneva married Johnnie Luther Merrifield. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darla Jean Merrifield; and ten brothers and sisters. Geneva is survived by her husband of 67 years, J.L. Merrifield of Midland, TX; children, Larry Merrifield and his wife, Janice, of Athens, Texas; Sandra Hull and her husband, Mike of Midland, Texas; Mary Pearce and her husband David of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Wayne and his wife Christie of Hewitt, Texas; Johnny Merrifield of Trinidad, Texas; Brian Merrifield of Athens, Texas; Shawn Hull and wife Caeli of North Las Vegas, Nevada; Tammy Awtry and husband Andrew of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Chris Pearce and wife Amber of Midland, Texas; great-grandchildren, Amanda Merrifield and Samantha Merrifield of Hewitt, Texas; Jacob Hull and Hannah Hull of North Las Vegas, Nevada; Skylar Awtry, Maddox Awtry and Rowan Awtry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Cheyenne Pearce and Kiah Pearce of Midland, Texas. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home on Monday, August 23, 2010 between the hours 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at North ‘A’ Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park North.
