Helen Louise Gesting

Helen, “Nana” moved to Texas in 1956. While raising a family she was actively involved with the Campfire Girls and numerous school actives with her children. She loved to cook and always enjoyed baking for family, friends and church activities. In the mid 1980’s she moved to Midland to be near her family. While in Midland she worked and attended St. Stephens Church. She was an active member in the church, the Franciscans and numerous other church organizations.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Paul and Stephen Gesting and siblings: Catherine Geary, Betty Dolan and Louis Bolich.

Survivors are: daughter-in-law, Betty Sue and Bill Rogers of Fredericksburg; son Charles and Linda Gesting of Midland; daughter Claire and Phillip Orate` of Deming NM; daughter Mary Gesting Adams of Deming NM; son Chris and Nancy Gesting of Haslet ; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, as-well-as numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

Family visitation will be Thursday March 24, 2011 from 6:00-7:00PM at St Stephens’ Catholic Church followed by a rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00AM Friday March 25, 2011 at St Stephen’s. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
