He was born in Midland, Texas and was known as Will by everyone that met him. His greatest times in life were teaching his daughters and family to hunt, fish and loved to travel. J was an amazing husband, father, and friend. He spent most of his career in the Oil and Gas industry overseeing Environmental and Safety. He started his work career working in the Sheriff's office.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Belinda Dianne Scott, and his father J Dow Scott III.
He is survived by his wife, Rusti Scott; daughters, Eden and Zoe Scott; sisters, Stephanie Rutland and son Tristan Hernandez, Ashley Stanton and daughter Destiny Stanton and son Brody Mendoza, Lindsay and husband Matthew Dickson and sons Lane and Luke Dickson. He is also survived by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, in-laws, and friends.
He will be extremely missed by all who had a chance to meet him and made such an impact on so many lives.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 11th, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home in Midland, Texas. Memorial services will be held Monday, February 12th, 2024, at Home Line Baptist Church in Midland. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 12th, 2024, at 3 pm at Rest Haven Cemetery.
