

Jackson Leroy Bell passed peacefully on October 20, 2015. He was born on June 5, 1922 on Oakwood, Texas. He was raised at the State Home for children in Corsicana, Texas. After high school graduation, he joined the Merchant Marines to serve during World War II. Shortly after leaving the Merchant Marines, he married Frankie Charlene Allmond on March 15, 1947. Leroy and Charlene moved to West Texas with his job selling drilling bits for the Reed Roller Bit Company. After short stays in Levelland, Texas, Hobbs and Tatum, New Mexico, they moved to Midland to begin his career in wholesale oil distribution with Eddins-Walcher Oil Co. In 1967, Leroy left Eddins-Walcher to start his own oil distributorship, Industrials Oils, Inc. After 47 successful years, he sold the company to several of his dedicated employees.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, of 54 years; his second wife, Mary Cornwell, of 10 years and all of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by; his son, Phillip and wife Sherry; grandson, Justin and his wife Samantha and great grandson Michael and by granddaughter Katherine and her husband Todd Ehlers and great granddaughter Mae.
Graveside Services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Mary Beth Anton of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
