

John Wayne Stout Jr., age 60, passed away in Midland, Texas on Saturday, September 26, 2015. John was born in Pasadena, Texas on January 5, 1955 to his mother and father Beverly and Johnny Wayne Stout Sr. Most of his young life was spent in Kermit, Texas. He attended Kermit High School and went on to play football for Texas Tech University. He later graduated from UTPB with a BA in Business Accounting. John owned and operated John Stout Jr. Construction for over 20 years.
John was a unique and charismatic individual who had a passion for sports and a love for coaching his sons though GMFL football. He also coached a semi-pro football team, the Midland Colts. He always made an impression on everyone he met; he never met a stranger; and no one left without a quick-witted nickname. John loved spending time with his brothers at sporting events and riding motorcycles. John's passion for art was evident throughout his successful career of architecture and design. He loved to show his talents through drawings.
John is survived by his wife, Rachael Stout, of Midland, TX; his mother, Beverly Ann Stout of Midland, TX, his son, Cole and wife, Ashley Stout, of Austin, TX; his son, Trent and wife, Amanda Stout, of San Antonio, TX; his daughter, Monica Booth of Midland, TX; his grandchildren, Jack Stout, Annslee Stout, Kennedi Stout, Hollis Stout, and Wright Stout; his brother, Russell Stout and wife, Linda, of San Antonio, TX; his brother, Don Stout and wife, Melinda, of Midland, TX; his sister, Diann and husband, Ray Aaron, of Midland, TX; his nieces and nephews, Adrian and Lexie Gunder and their daughter, Alexis, of Dallas, TX; Emory and Briley Stout of Midland, TX; Molly and Bailey Roberts of Midland, TX; and Samantha of Seattle, WA; Uncle Donald and Aunt Patty Adams of Houston, TX and their daughter Debbie; Uncle Horace and Aunt Martha O’Neal of Birmingham, AL and their children Adam and Mark, and last, but not least, his beloved dog Puddin. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Stout Sr.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening at Ellis Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held for John Stout on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Don Stout, Russell Stout, Cole Stout, Trent Stout, Tom Becker and Elvin Brown.
