Justin Colt Southerland

Justin Colt Southerland, 25, of Midland, joined his Lord and Savior on August 20, 2015. He was born on July 14, 1990. Justin loved to snowboard, ski, and fish in Colorado. He enjoyed ice skating and playing hockey. He was very smart and excelled in every sport. One of his many dreams was to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. He loved being outside and exploring nature. He attended high school at Greenwood High School. He was employed with Ledford Pump Service as a pump technician. He had a huge heart and the gentlest soul. Justin loved to spread the Word of God. He is loved and missed by so many. God has a bigger plan for Justin. He was too beautiful for earth.

Justin leaves behind parents: Rene’ and Jesse Estes and Paul Southerland; grandparents Leroy and Mary Sue Ledford, Dale and Cindy Estes, and Rodney and Glenda Southerland; sisters, Ariel Southerland and spouse Robby Hargrove, and Brooke Southerland and spouse Justin Holley along with their daughter “Little Baby” Kyleigh Holley; Uncle Glen and Aunt Mikie Ledford; cousins Matt and Jessie with Karson and Emerson Ledford; Brandy Roos with Hailey Cartier Ledford; Aunt Carol Talalis and cousins Angela Ledford with Collin; Jordan Bauknecht with Ryder and Bryson; Uncle Marty Ledford and cousins Colten Ledford and Halli Ledford with Shailyn and Preston; Uncle David Ledford and cousins Hayden, Tiffany and Jordan Hudgins with Kristine Ledford; Uncle Mike Ledford, Rene’ Moore, and Tiffany Rutledge and Cousins Cheyenne Ledford and Steffan Jordan, Kenzie and Wyatt; Uncle Chris and Aunt Marisol Southerland with cousin Brittany; Aunt Cheryl Southerland and Thomas Moore and many friends.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at West Kentucky Baptist Church, with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating. The interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. In celebration of Justin’s bright life, we believe he would want everyone to dress in casual, light clothing.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), 2024 82nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79423 on behalf of Justin’s name.
