Leslie Ray Snider

Les Snider, 59, of Midland passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Les was born to Bo and Ann Snider in Midland August 12, 1951.

Les graduated from Midland High School in 1969. He was an avid baseball player from the time he could hold a bat and throw a ball through his high school years. He loved gardening, fishing and just visiting. He also loved his long time canine companion, Sunday, who passed away a few years ago.

Les started working with Fitzgerald WeatherMart, then Bill Walker Refrigeration. He started his own business, Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning, in the early 1970’s.

Les is survived by brothers; James and Jerry Snider of Midland, sister Margaret Allen of Midland and nephews Michael Snider of Midland, Trey Allen of Lakeway TX and two nieces, Crystal Chester, of Nashville Tennessee and Amanda Stout of Lakeway, TX

Graveside services will be held for Les on Thursday, April 21 at 1:00PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland with H W Erwin Jr. of Second Baptist Church officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com. Arrangements for Mr. Snider are being handled by Ellis Funeral Home.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to A Lappe of the Midland Police Department and to Kathy Hale of Midland for their help and support. The family suggests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
