Mildred met the love of her life, Alva James "Jiggs" Earnest and they were soon married and excited to start their family. She was a housewife and loved caring for her husband and children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jiggs Earnest; parents, Oscar and Edith Clay; daughter, Vivian Sue Jevne; and all of her siblings.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Alva Jean Walker of Stanton, Patti Suzanne Chambers of Nashville, TN, and Melodie Lynn Boren of Pflugerville; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 2 PM at Ellis Funeral Home followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
