Pam Kennedy Boyd

Pam Boyd, 58, of Midland passed away on July 1, 2013. She was born in Odessa, Texas to Jimmy Kennedy and Faye Kennedy on November 17, 1954. Pam married Skipper Boyd on April 4, 1975. She served at Crestview Baptist Church as the receptionist and loved sharing her faith through her role there. Pam enjoyed spending time with her friends in her local Red Hat chapter. She was a fun-loving woman with a great sense of humor and would often catch her family and friends by surprise with her quick wit. She loved her grandchildren and although the grandsons were years older than the granddaughters, MoMoe connected with all four in her own way. Pam loved her family and was a fierce advocate for her sons and daughter. She loved her husband and stood by him with unending loyalty. Pam opened her heart to her children-in-law and embraced them as her own.

She is survived by her husband, Skipper; sons, Cory Boyd and Jady Boyd; daughter Mickey Boyd Folger; sister, Brenda Perego; parents, Jimmy and Faye Kennedy; daughters-in-law, Ashley Boyd and Jada Estes, and her son-in-law Van Scott Folger. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Midland Memorial Hospital, Texas Oncology, Dr. Lindin Odukwu, and especially Dr. Karen Carr for their tender care of our precious Pamela.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 4, 2013 AT Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:00pm. A funeral service has been scheduled for 10:00am on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Crestview Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Tommy Baxter, Donald McConnell, Ed McDonald, Harper Estes, Damon Dalager and Paul Thorpe.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scott Folger, Raine Wayland, Jordan Wayland, Wayne Perego, Terry Baxter, Jason Hallmark, Jeremy Hallmark and Jaxon Hallmark.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be directed to Crestview Baptist Church Forward by Faith.
