Ramon Padilla, born on November 24, 1958, in Tijuana, Mexico, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, generosity, and devotion to those he loved most.
Ramon was the beloved husband of Rosa Padilla. Their love story began when they were just 15 years old, and together they shared 52 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and commitment to one another.
He was a proud and loving father to Ramon, Felipe, Irene, and Alma. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law, Edith and Judith, and his sons-in-law, Mario and Avery. Ramon was a cherished grandfather to Monique, Melissa, Emily, Vanessa, Ramon, Felipe, James, Maya, Roman, and Noah. A proud great-grandfather to Nathan, Leo, Joseph, Christopher, Kevin, Jesé, and Filemon, who preceded him in death.
Ramon was a man whose life was defined by service. A skilled carpenter and true jack-of-all-trades, there seemed to be nothing he couldn't build, repair, or figure out. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family, always putting their needs before his own. No matter how hard the work or how long the day, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Known for his kindness and generosity, Ramon was the person everyone called when they needed a favor. He never turned people away and was always willing to share his time, knowledge, and talents. He was an incredible host who made everyone feel welcome, and many will remember gathering around him as he happily made coffee and shared conversation. Ramon loved coffee, and making a fresh cup for family, friends, and visitors was one of the many ways he showed his love.
A devoted man of faith, Ramon preached at San Miguel Arcangel Church in Midland, Texas. His faith guided his life and inspired the way he cared for others, offering encouragement, wisdom, and compassion to all who crossed his path.
Ramon will be remembered for his warm smile, his unmistakable dimples, his gift for conversation, and yes, even his stubbornness. He was silly, fun-loving, accommodating, and always eager to make others feel at home. Through life's challenges and difficult times, he remained devoted to his family, standing by them with strength, loyalty, and love.
To his family, Ramon was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was their go-to person, their source of wisdom, their helping hand, and their constant support. His absence leaves a tremendous void, and the hearts of those who loved him are heavy with grief.
Though he will be deeply missed, Ramon leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and selflessness that will continue to live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.
"Dad, thank you for everything. For your sacrifices, your guidance, your laughter, your coffee, your faith, and your love. We will miss your smile, your dimples, your stories, and the comfort of knowing you were always there. The hole left by your passing is immeasurable, but so is the love you gave us. We love you always and will carry you in our hearts forever."
