

Arrangements under the Rick Cihonski, 54, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was born Thursday, January 26, 1956, to the late John L. and Katherine (Mostowy) Cihonski. He was baptized as a baby and confirmed when he was in junior high. He believed Jesus Christ was his savior and we will see him again in heaven someday.He moved to Midland in 1978 after graduating from Butler, Pennsylvania Senior High School in 1974 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in 1978. He had degrees in accounting and economics. He also studied music in high school and college and was gifted in all his studies. He was a CPA and worked at various accounting firms before becoming a partner in Hiebert, Cihonski & Co. in 1982. He started his own CPA firm in 1989 and was liked and respected by all. He was known for his sense of humor and loved making people laugh.He married his best friend and the love of his life, Anne Walker Cihonski; on September 7, 1992. They did everything together, including working together. He dedicated his life to his wife and his family, and also to his CPA practice. He loved his family and spending time with them doing the simple things, such as watching old movies and playing with their dogs. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his younger brother, Dan and cruising in his Corvettes. He was brilliant in many ways and could solve almost any math problem without even a piece of paper or pencil. He greatly enjoyed his business and helping his clients anyway he could. He loved his Pittsburg Steelers and relaxing watching football.Rick is preceded in death by his dear father-in law, Robert C. Walker.He is survived by his wife and his "Texas" family, which includes his mother-in-law Marie Walker, brother-in-laws Robert C. Walker, Jr. (Sandy) and David Walker (Wanda). He also is survived by his brothers Dan L. Cihonski (Elaine) of Harrisburg PA, and John L. Cihonski (Pat) of San Jose, CA and sister Carole (Morris) Lint of Tiffin, OH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Raquelle Trimble (Jerry), Robert Charles Walker, III, Dave Walker, Matthew (Kim) Walker, Jon Walker, Andrew Cihonski, Jen (Nate) Bissot, Diane Cihonski, Carrie (Adam) Vukich, Shannon Garrison, Eric Lint, and Morgan Lint and numerous great nephews, nieces and friends. He will be greatly missed by all and also by his dogs Larrie, Cheyenne and Abby.Pallbearers for Rick will be: Mike Hughes of Big Spring; Henry Williams of Tuscon Arizona; Phillip Suchil of Lubbock; Jerry Trimble, Brent Wilbourn and Keith Cain of Mildand.direction of Ellis Funeral Home, Midland, TX.
