

Robert "Bob" James Mack, 79, was born in Killarney, Ireland on January 3rd, 1935 to Treversie and Anna Mack. He graduated from Richburg Central School and joined the United States Navy immediately after. Robert was married to Merrilyn Anne Mack on December 30th, 1980 in Espanola, New Mexico.
Robert honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 24 years, and Retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman. His service included: Bravo Company, 3rd Medical Battalion, 1st Marine Brigade(FMF), Marine Air Base Squadron 13 (FMF), Marine Fighter Squadron 232 (FMF), and U.S. Naval Hospital (NNMC Bethesda, Maryland) After the Navy he went on to work as a Respiratory Therapist and Cardio Pulmonary Technician. He loved to paint oil based landscapes, fishing, and home renovation projects. He took pride in everything he did, and had a smile that would light up the room. His quick wit and sense of humor was sure to make everyone laugh in any situation. Robert saw the good in everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Gone but not forgotten, his legacy will live on through his wife and children.
Robert is survived by his wife Merrilyn, his sons Chris, John, and Michael, his daughter Michelle, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 14th at Ellis Funeral Home. The funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Monday September 15th at 2p.m. with Rev. Dennis Bade officiating. Burial and VFW Honor Guard ceremony will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be donated to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
