

Ruth was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 12, 1936. She graduated from Odessa High School and later received an MBA from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
Ruth worked in the oil industry as a petroleum landman for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She was also very artistic, talented in painting, photography, and needlework. Her greatest enjoyment, however, came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Gladys Jenkins and by her fiancé, Sam Kalill.
Ruth is survived by her son, Billy Sutton, of Copperas Cove; her daughter, Michelle Akins, of Amarillo; her daughter and son-in-law, Maci and Jerry Kelso of Midland; her grandchildren, Sloane, Sidney and Tyler Kelso of Midland; Jack and Abby Sutton of Cedar Park and Emily, Andrew, and Aaron Akins of Amarillo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Todd and Kim Kelso, 6303 South County Road 1200, in Midland.
