Severo "M.C. Birdman" Enriquez

Severo Raul Enriquez, 38, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010.

Severo graduated from Midland High School in 1990, and acquired an Associate’s degree in Science at Midland College. He was an active participant in the Midland College sports department, a.k.a. “The Birdman”. He loved to put the spirit of excitement in the fans at every Midland College event. He was employed by Midland College and IHOP.

Severo is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ysidro and Julia Rodriguez; his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Elisa Enriquez; three uncles, Tedd, Jerry and Daniel Enriquez. Severo is survived by his parents, Severo and Olga Enriquez of Midland; three sisters, Margaret Pester and husband Rob, of Midland, Letty Johnson and husband Leroy of Big Spring, and Rosie Enriquez of Midland; grandmother, Lilly Rodriguez of Midland. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Julia and Olivia Pester, Tavi, Niya, Tylan, and Leroy Johnson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 5, 2010 in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 6, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Monsignor James Plagens officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
