Stanley Warren Harris

Stanley was born to Clemmie Edgar Waldrop and Horace Chilton Harris in Burkburnett, Texas, on December 14, 1924.

Stan attended school and graduated in Crane, Texas. He graduated from Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, Texas, in 1955 and received a teacher’s certificate from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, in 1960. He taught History and Social Studies in several towns in Texas, retiring in 1980. Stan loved to read. He wrote and published two books. He loved to travel, doing extensive travel in all 50 states as well as Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.

Married to his wife Carolyn for 59 years. Having one son Stanley Warren Harris Jr. and wife Terry Harris. One grandson Jason Harris and one granddaughter Jordan Harris Bogart and husband Kyle Bogart of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Edgar Gene Harris and wife Sue of Austin, Texas, along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceeded in death by parents and one brother, Horace C Harris Jr.
