William "Bill" Conner

William Frank “Bill” Conner, 63, of Midland, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012. He was born in Midland, Texas on September 1, 1948 to Eddie Frank and Obera Conner. Bill graduated from Lee High School in 1966. He attended Odessa College and the University of Texas at El Paso. He worked for Radio Shack for many years in various locations, and was currently employed for Staples in Odessa, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midland. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Obera Conner. He is survived by his wife, Paula of Midland; son, Jeremy Conner and wife Debbie of Midland; son, Geoffrey Conner and fiancé Casey of Katy, TX; son, Jay Conner of San Diego, CA; son Brian Booker and wife Cindy of Amarillo; son, Jason Booker and fiancé Amy of Midland; daughter, Jodie Stanton and husband Jason of Midland; brother, Charles Conner and wife Jean of Crowley, TX; sister, Jeane Edwards and husband John of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchild, Aubrey Booker of Amarillo, TX; aunt, Virginia Conner of Midland; nephews, Brent and Brian Edwards and nieces Beth Preston and Sherry Barton. The employees of Staples were also his family. They referred to him as “Mr. Bill.” The family will receive friends Monday, August 6, 2012 at Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 9:00 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
