Born in Superior, Nebraska on December 28, 1923, Wilma was the beloved daughter of Moses Sylvester Young and Leona Maude (Chesney) Young. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and six sisters.
Wilma’s life was forever changed on June 30, 1944, when she met the love of her life, Blane Wayne Lemmons, in Buhl, Idaho during World War II. Just five days later, they married - beginning a remarkable love story that lasted 62½ years until Blane’s passing on New Year’s Eve 2005.
For decades, Wilma and Blane made their home in Blair, Nebraska, where they raised their two daughters, Virginia and Linda as they worked side‑by‑side running Lemmons Construction Company. After retirement, they moved to Midland, Texas, where Blane is laid to rest and where Wilma will soon join him.
Wilma is survived by her daughter Linda Louise Turner of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great‑grandchildren; and many extended family members whom she cherished deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband Blane, her daughter Virginia Lee Frank, and her son‑in‑law Donald Frank.

In the final months of her life, Wilma was blessed with the opportunity to travel with her daughter, celebrating her 102nd birthday and Christmas with friends and family across Nebraska and Texas—moments that brought her immense joy.
