I considered Andrew a great friend and enjoyed the times we spent together outdoors, especially many days hunting along with my daughters. A perfect example of a true gentleman. 
With his son Spencer and a group of friends from our school days, we could always count on Andrew. He was the glue that held us together for many years. If I needed advise on life, business or even where to hunt he always knew what was best.
I will miss his laugh the most along with his great stories. I feel fortunate to have known him and called him a great friend.

I’m very sorry to hear about Andy’s sudden and unexpected passing. Andy and I worked together for many years and he was a quick wit, hard worker and a fine gentleman. He had the respect of both colleagues and opponents in the hearing rooms of the Virginia and North Carolina regulatory commissions. Just as important, he was genuinely liked by them as well. I had the privilege of working with and knowing Andy for many, many years probably dating back to the late 1980s. He was an expert in his field and an exceptional person who will be sorely missed. Sincerest condolences to his family and praise for a life well lived.

Andy moved to Richmond (ORJP) about one week after I did (1980).  Thus, I've known him for well over half of my life, and I cannot believe he is gone.  I remember so fondly visiting him, Sarah and Spencer at their first Richmond home.  I remember joining him on a trip to his home where I met his parents.

So far as I know, everyone who knew Andy was as fond of him as I was.  He will be missed by all of us.

Andy was not only my manager and colleague at Dominion Energy, but more importantly my friend.  As a professional, Andy was an expert in utility rate design and cost allocation which are subjects that not many people understand but we can be thankful that Andy did.  He served the customers and shareholders of Dominion Energy in Virginia and northeastern North Carolina for many years ensuring that utility costs were recovered fairly and reasonably.  He did this work in a manner that helped others, including his colleagues, understand the importance of this work.  Andy was greatly respected as a utility expert and leader.  While an expert, Andy was always humble, friendly, and had a smile.   He enjoyed his work and because he did, others who worked with him enjoyed their work too! 

I extend my sincere sympathy and prayers of comfort and peace to Sarah, Spencer, Laura, Warren, and the grandchildren.  Your husband, father, and grandfather is someone who made the people he worked with and those he impacted better.  And, he did this in a friendly, personable, and joyful way.

My dear Sarah and family,
I know you are all heartbroken at your loss. I pray that you find peace in the gift of love and unselfish commitment Andrew  had to his family. He was one of the most dependable humans I have ever met. That dependability underscores his love and commitment. It provided a security in all aspects of life— which translates into a security for family that holds everything up,like the sturdy foundation of a great building. Everyone goes in and out and carries out their daily activities without a thought because that foundation is strong and dependable. I am blessed to have known him and each of you that make up the family around him. I am honored to call you all my friends. I am comforted to know the memories he helped to make and the gifts he passed on will live on for generations to come. 
May God bless and comfort you through this difficult time. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Andy was truly an amazing person  who had a remarkable life.  I worked with Andy in some capacity for decades. The one thing that he accomplished that I  most admired was his ability to balanced his work and home life. .such an amazing role model on so many fronts.  Sarah, I am so sorry .

I know a lot of people may say that they have the best father in law but I can honestly say that everyone else is  wrong, because my father in law truly was the best there ever was. From the first time meeting him almost 30 years ago he always made me feel that I was one of his own children. He was one of the kindest and most patient people I’ve ever met, was always good for a laugh, and had great taste in music. He was such an amazing grandpa. Seeing him with Katherine, Jackson and Vivien  always made me smile.  The world has lost a truly incredible human being way too soon. Thank you Andrew for all of your love and support.  You will be terribly missed. But I hope you’re resting easy in a nice comfy hammock, listening to some Johnny Cash, or catching some catfish, or hunting the big bucks and eating all the shrimps you can in heaven.

My sincerest heartfelt condolences to Andy's family and other loved ones. I enjoyed the years I worked with him and know that his humor will be deeply missed.

I send my heartfelt sympathy to the family. Andrew loved his family dearly, he was kind to everyone, a natural story teller, and a good hearted person with a wonderful smile. He always was there to offer a helping hand. His life was cut too short and he will be missed.

Sorry to hear of Andy's passing. He was a great coworker, boss and friend for more than 30 years. I know of no finer person and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family
