Ann Cameron Lemon Mumford, 81 departed this life Dec 3, 2021at her home in Chesterfield. She was a lifelong resident of the Richmond area growing up off of Three Chopt Road & raising her family in Chesterfield County.
Mom was born July 1, 1940 at Stuart Circle Hospital. She is predeceased by her parents Edith & John Lemon and her spouse Graves R. (Bob) Mumford Jr. Ann is survived by her two daughters Karen Mumford Grove & Pamela Mumford Kenney and her four granddaughters: Helen Grove, Shelby Grove, Paige Kenney & Sarah Grove. She is also survived by her beloved Cairn Terrier, Phoebe who gave Mom many hours of devotion, love & companionship
Mom was an only child, she had a wonderful childhood in the West End of Richmond, VA. She was a member of the class of 1958 of St. Catherine’s School, something in which she took great pride. After graduating high school Ann went on to work as an administrative assistant for Chesterfield County Public Schools for many years at both Reams Road Elementary & Robious Elementary School. After she left Chesterfield Schools she went on to become a travel agent at Creative Travel & others. Being a travel agent gave Mom and Dad the opportunity to travel many places including England, Australia, California, cruises on SeaBorne and more. Travelling was the true passion of Mom & Dad & something they did for as long as they could.
Mom’s visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel Monday, Dec 13, 2021 from 5pm - 8pm
and where a Service will be at Tuesday Dec 14, 2021 at 11am
Internment will be private, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
