Betty was born in Swickley, PA on October 22, 1951. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in business education from Robert Morris College. She worked as a teacher for many years before starting a new career with the airlines. Her job at the airlines allowed her to spend more time with family, travel the world, and cross many things off her bucket list. She had a strong love for life and adventure. Her most valued moments were time spent with family and friends. She loved fiercely and deeply, was full of laughter and joy, endlessly optimistic and always ready for “Plan B.”
