Born and raised with a deep love for family and community, Brad leaves behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and strength.
Brad is survived by his wife, Heather Plybon, and his cherished daughter, Hadley Plybon, who was the absolute light of his life. He is also survived by his loving mother, Suzanne Plybon; his sister, Leslie Johnson; his brother, Jason Plybon; and his brother-in-law, Anthony Johnson.
Brad was a beloved uncle to his niece, Genevieve Johnson, and his nephew, Liam Johnson, who brought him great joy.
He was a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he began work with Norfolk Southern Railroad—a role in which he took great pride and formed many lasting friendships.
Brad had a passion for working with his hands and finding beauty in the world around him. He enjoyed landscaping, carpentry, and fishing, and he took great pride in beautifying his community. Whether crafting something from scratch or tending to the outdoors, Brad found peace and purpose in creating and improving the spaces he loved. He loved sports, and as a testament to his loyalty, rooted for the Cleveland Browns. He loved his daughter Hadley boundlessly and their favorite things to do together were splash in ocean waves, go fishing, and look at the moon before bedtime.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his loyalty, and the love he showed to those around him.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
